Beeswax Wrap

Konnichi Wa Everybody!

Did you know that there is a lot of plastic in the world? In our class we have been learning about plastic that is in the sea and sea creatures eating them. While we were learning about plastic our teacher got us materials to make a beeswax wrap. A beeswax wrap is a reusable cloth that you can use for your sandwich instead of using glad wrap.

It is good for you to use because there is so much plastic that we use and that plastic has flew away into the sea which causes sea creatures to think that is food and die from it.

Now I present to you the instructions for the beeswax wrap and a photo...

You will need:

  • 100% cotton (fabric)
  • Pinking shears
  • Beeswax pellets
  • Baking paper
  • Iron
  • Old towel
  • Cardboard (optional)

Method:
  1. Choose a fabric that is 100% cotton.
  2. Cut the cloth by using pinking shears into a square (30cm by 30cm)
  3. Sprinkle a handful of beeswax pellets onto your cloth (make sure you have 2 layers of baking paper at the bottom of your cloth).
  4. Grab another layer of baking paper and put it on top of your cloth.
  5. Iron your cloth until all the beeswax pellets are melted.
  6. Remove the baking paper from the cloth.
  7. Peel your cloth off from the baking paper.
  8. Wave it until it is dry.

Would you try this out?
See you guys next time, Goodbye!

My Bird - Collage Drawing

Good Afternoon Everybody,

In today's blog post is another one of my activity's that my teacher gave to my class to do. This time the activity was about creating but using a different tool to create. First, we had to figure out what we wanted to draw next go on tools, press explore then type up the texture that you want, insert it, press the upside down button then choose any shape you want.

This activity was challenging because I didn't know what I wanted to draw and now I have finally finished my collage.

See you guys later, bye!

My Minion

Good Morning Blogging World!

Hi and welcome, today I am going to be showing you my minion drawing. This blog post is about the drawing that I finished creating yesterday evening. There is this google drawing that our teacher gave us to do over the holidays and it as tasks that we have to do and this is one of them. Once you have finished a task publish it onto your blog and then put a duck on the task that you did.

What I had to do for this activity was I had to use shapes and lines to create something that I love drawing or something that is random but appropriate and now I present to you my minion drawing.

Blog you guys later, Goodbye.

Multiplication Mashup

Bonjour Blogging World!

Today I am going to be telling and showing you about Multiplication Mashup.

On Wednesday in the Y6's maths class we got to meet students that go to the University of Auckland. What they did was they created a website to help us out with our maths. First, our teacher gave us a sheet that had table charts and equations on them like 54 x 34  or 29 x 32 but we had to watch a video so we can understand what were going to do.

For this session we had to create google slides and show you guys how to do it (but we had to do it on Friday).

Here it is.....
